A word wall is designed to be an interactive tool for students and contains an array of words that can be used during writing and reading. Using a word wall is a great way to build vocabulary. A sound wall supports students with learning those tricky, high-frequency words and supports students in retaining and learning to read unfamiliar words on their own. A sound wall does the work of matching our articulation of speech sounds/phonemes to the letters/graphemes that represent those sounds.
