Learner Agency (Episode 5): Learner Centered Focus

In this podcast, Dr. Katie Martin shares her experiences as a classroom teacher, author and national speaker about learner-centered education in her conversation with Central Rivers AEA leaders Beth Strike and Amber Dietz. The conversation uses stories from both the parent lens and classroom perspective to talk about how we engage our learners, make shifts in our approaches and bring in meaningful experiences that prepare students for their futures. The dialogue tackles ideas ranging from how to engage in your child's learning as a parent and considering how we are defining "success" for our learners, as well as how we elevate skills considered less academic, such as speaking and listening skills, within our curriculum.
