Learner Agency (Episode 7): Giving Learners a Voice

This is a podcast with Beth Strike and Jen Sigrist, continuing their conversations about learner agency. In this episode, Beth starts out describing learner-centered to set the stage for exploring student voice more in-depth. Choice and voice are so often used together that they can seem like the same thing, but providing a space for students to have a voice in their learning is far different. Discussed in today's podcast are ways to bring learner voice into the classroom and what it sounds like when students are using their voice in learning. Beth Strike, a Central Rivers AEA leader and facilitator of the podcast series, sums up this episode well, "The goal is to help students develop their voice as much as it to use it."
