Phonological awareness and phonemic awareness have a high level of importance within literacy development. In the two previous modules, participants learned how to give and interpret the PAST assessment. This module will explain key features of explicit instruction now that you have determined the needs of your learners. The outcomes of Part 6 will include: determining the key features, describing degrees of proficiency, and how proficiency impacts instructional routines.
