Social Studies Inquiry Progressions: Constructing Compelling Questions

The Iowa Social Studies standards were designed to grow future ready skills in conjunction with content understanding. The Inquiry Standards start the learning and are an equal part of any curriculum. This learning is about the first two inquiry standards; Constructing Compelling Questions and Constructing Supporting Questions. All good learning starts with strong impactful questions. The design of this presentation will explain the differences and provide a model from which you can start to build inquiry into your classroom.
